NORTH SUTTON, N.H.- The Vermont State University Castleton men's golf opened their 2026-27 season finishing fourth at the New England College Fall Invitational at the Country Club of New Hampshire. 

Cam Reid (Kimberley, BC) and Sam Knight (Madison, Wisc.) both finished tied for tenth with each recording a 78, which was six over par. Knight recorded two birdies and an eagle on the 13th, while Reid recorded one birdie on the 18th hole. 

Will Woodruff (Bloomingdale, N.Y.) finished third on the team with a 12-over par 84, while Mason MacDougall (Cambridge, N.Y.) recorded a 14-over par 86 and birdied on the 12th hole. 

Zach Lussier (Brossard, QC) rounded out the Spartans carding a 26-over par and birdied on the 18th hole. 

Up next, the men's golf team will compete at the Tony Mariano Invitational on Wednesday at the Country Club of Barre.
