How it Happened:
Carter Dickinson kicked the day off for Castleton, with two batters on as he sent a double to left center field, bringing in one run as the Spartans led 1-0. The Bloodhounds countered the run with two of their own in the bottom half of the first inning for their only lead of the game, 2-1.

Alex McClelland tied the game at two in the top of the second inning, driving in Mikey Raby Jr., while Trey LaVigne advanced to second. With bases loaded, Dickinson was walked, allowing LaVigne to cross home as Castleton took its second lead of the game.

The Spartans piled on the runs at the top of the third, as two back-to-back singles by Tommie Shaw and Justin Strozyk allowed three runs to come in, before Dickinson drew in two more runs, two batters later (8-2). Turner Clews walked up to the plate with two runners on base, sending a single out to left field to give Castleton a 10-2 lead.

Castleton's final runs came in the top of the sixth, as Dickinson yet again drew in two more runs, followed by Clews drawing in the final two Spartan runs of the day as they led 14-2. The pitchers and fielders on both sides kept the runs to zero through the final inning and a half as Castleton claimed its second win of the season, 14-2.
