Box Score PLYMOUTH, N.H. – The Vermont State University Castleton women's soccer team grabbed its first Little East Conference win of the year, in a 2-0 victory over Plymouth State Saturday afternoon.

How it Happened:
- Rookie Chloe Green continued on her hot streak this week, scoring on a long shot outside of the box off a pass from Maggie McKearin for her fourth goal this week in the 31st minute, giving Castleton a 1-0 lead.
- The Panthers, despite not scoring in the first half, outshot the Spartans 9-2 through the first 45 minutes, as Emma Ezzo made five saves in goal prior to Green's goal.
- Castleton found themselves with two back-to-back corner kick opportunities in the 68th and 69th minutes, finally converting on the second one.
- Maggie Parker sent the ball in, finding the foot of Gwen Bridges, who snuck the ball in to Emma Patrissi as she was waiting in front of the goalie, giving Patrissi her first goal of the season and Castleton a 2-0 lead in the 69th minute, securing the Spartan victory.

The team returns to Dave Wolk Stadium tomorrow (September 28) to host Colby-Sawyer College at 1 p.m. Tomorrow is Grass Roots/Youth Day, and the team invites local kids to come out and watch the game, with a chance to meet the players following the game.
