PROVIDENCE, R.I. -- Vermont State University Castleton sophomore goalkeeper Julie Cooper was named Little East Conference Goalkeeper of the Week following a strong week in net for the Spartans.

Cooper totaled 17 saves over two games, posting an .850 save percentage. She turned in a career-best performance Wednesday night against Middlebury, stopping 12 shots in nearly 63 minutes of action.

She followed that effort with a five-save performance Saturday against Rhode Island College, keeping the Anchorwomen off the scoreboard through 90 minutes in a scoreless draw. The shutout helped Castleton earn a point in LEC play.
