Castleton Ties for Fifth at Keene State Invitational

KEENE, N.H. – The Vermont State University Castleton men's golf team tied for fifth at the Keene State Invitational on Thursday afternoon, posting its lowest round of the season.

How it Happened
  • With the first top-5 finish of his collegiate career, Sam Knight tied for fourth after shooting a 75, just four over. Knight was only two strokes off the leader who finished with a 73.
  • Reid Myers found himself in a tie for 17th, posting a score of 80.
  • Teammates Cam Reid and Tommie Shaw tied for 22 with matching scores of 82.
  • Rounding out the Spartan golfers was Dylan Roebuck with a 93.
  • Castleton tied for fifth with the Keene State b-squad. They trailed WestConn and Norwich by seven strokes.

Up Next
The Spartans will remain on the road as the travel to Maine to take part in the University of Southern Maine Husky Invitational on October 5, set for an 11:30 a.m. tee off.
