CASTLETON, Vt. – The Vermont State University Castleton women's soccer team fell to Little East Conference opponent Eastern Connecticut Saturday evening, 2-0, as homecoming weekend continued on the Castleton campus.

- The Warriors dominated the ball as the first half got underway, with five shots through the first 13 minutes of play before Chloe Green took a shot that was saved.
- Eastern Connecticut found themselves with two corner kick opportunities, one of which they were able to convert on, taking a 1-0 lead in the 20th minute.
- Both sides continued to take shots and break through the defense, but neither was successful as the first half came to a close.
- The Spartans outshot the Warriors 8-6 in the second half, with Green putting up a team high six shots.
- The Warriors converted on another corner kick in the 83rd minute, taking a 2-0 lead as time wound down.
- Emma Ezzo and her defense were able to hold Eastern Connecticut to two goals following another corner kick opportunity in the 84th minute.
