RUTLAND, Vt.. – The Vermont State University Castleton men's golf team hosted the first round of the Castleton Invitational on Saturday afternoon, sitting fourth after 18 holes.

- Having the best round of his collegiate career, Cam Reid finds himself in third place at the completion of round one. Reid is just four-over with a 74. He trails Joseph Tiderencel of Clarkson by one stroke.
- Second on the squad, tied for 14th on the leaderboard is Reid Meyers who shot an 84.
- Avvi Tanasiyenko and Dylan Roebuck round out the Spartan competitors, the former in 96th (+26), the latter in 97 (+27)
