CASTLETON, Vt. – The Vermont State University Castleton men's soccer team snagged a 1-0 win over SUNY Potsdam Monday night, with
Michael O'Connor scoring the game-winning goal.

How it Happened:
- Xander Berthiaume and the Castleton defense held down the fort through the first half, with Berthiaume stopping three shots in the first half.
- The Bears collected three corner kick opportunities that the Spartans were able to put a stop to, with the Bears outshooting Castleton 4-2 through the first 45 minutes.
- Seth Dube and Sean Butler worked to find the back of the net through the remainder of the first half, with Dube sending a header just over the net and Butler sending one on goal for a save.
- In the 59th minute on a corner kick opportunity, Matt Spiller sent the ball in to Liam Cramer, who took a header toward the goal and found O'Connor for his third goal of the season and the lone goal of the night.
- Castleton outshot the Bears 6-3 in the second half, using their only corner kick of the final 45 minutes to take the win over Potsdam.
