CASTLETON, Vt. – The Vermont State University Castleton men's lacrosse team saw
Cam Frankenhoff and
Zac Smith named to the Second Team All-Little East Conference as announced on Wednesday morning.
Frankenhoff was a shoo-in as he led the team in scoring with 41 goals and 12 assists for 53 points. He was named the LEC Player of the Week on April 7 after playing a pivotal role in his team's 17-15 victory over Salem State on Saturday, marking their first LEC win of the season, scoring seven goals and assisting on two more for nine points on the day. The 2025 Team MVP rounds out his collegiate career ranked ninth in the program's record books with 97 goals.
Despite a slower start to the season, Smith played out of his mind in conference play to record his first All-Conference placement. He played in 391:48 minutes against fellow-LEC schools, going 2-for-6 and making 122 saves, while tying for the team lead in ground balls with 21. The senior made a career-high 27 saves at Keene State in April 16. He leaves the program ranking sixth in saves all-time with 343.
This marks the first post-season nods from the LEC since 2023.
