CASTLETON, VT. – The Vermont State University Castleton women's lacrosse team battled against Plymouth State on Wednesday evening, falling 28-1 at Dave Wolk Stadium.

How It Happened
After a flurry of PSU goals to open the contest, the Spartans found the net midway through the first quarter, as
Gianna Geraci scored her seventh goal of the season on a strong individual effort. Geraci was active all game, tallying two shots on goal and collecting a ground ball.
Despite the lopsided score, Castleton saw a strong showing in goal from
Katie Stager, who faced relentless pressure and recorded 12 saves in a full 60-minute effort.
Phoebe Loomis and
Hana Doria each contributed defensively, pairing up for four ground balls, while
Brianna Paul and
Renny Cota both registered shots for the Spartans. Castleton also earned a free-position shot opportunity late in the game but was unable to convert.

VTSU Castleton hits the road on Saturday, April 12, for another LEC matchup, taking on Rhode Island College. Opening draw is set for 3:30 p.m.
