PLYMOUTH, NH. – The Vermont State University Castleton men's lacrosse team dropped a Little East Conference matchup to Plymouth State on Tuesday evening, falling 10-3 at Panther Field.

How It Happened
Liam Evarts put Castleton on the board in the first quarter with a goal assisted by
Braydon Goddard, leveling the score at 1-1. Plymouth State answered quickly, stringing together three goals to take a 4-1 lead and then added three more in the second quarter to pull away.
The Spartans were held scoreless through the second and third quarters before Evarts added his second of the night on a man-up opportunity in the fourth.
Colin Connolly capped the scoring with his first collegiate goal coming in the final seconds, assisted by
Cam Frankenhoff.
In goal, Zach Smith stood tall under pressure, making 17 saves on the night. Facing 27 shots on goal, Smith was a key presence for the Spartans, especially in the second half when Castleton limited Plymouth State to just three goals.

Castleton returns home to host the University of Southern Maine on Saturday, April 12, with the opening face-off scheduled for 12 p.m. at Dave Wolk Stadium.
