CASTLETON, Vt. – The Vermont State University Castleton men's and women's ice hockey teams are teaming up with the Rutland County Parent-Child Center for a community food drive this Saturday, November 8, during their home doubleheader at Spartan Arena.
The Rutland County Parent-Child Center supports families with young children, providing essential resources and services throughout the year. The Spartan hockey programs have proudly partnered with the organization for several seasons through initiatives like the annual Teddy Bear Toss and Sock Toss, helping bring warmth and joy to local families in need.
This weekend, fans are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to donate at the door. In exchange, donors will receive free admission to Saturday's games.
The Castleton women's hockey team will kick off the action at 1 p.m. as they host New England College, marking their first home game of the season. The men's squad will follow at 4 p.m., facing off against Plymouth State.
Join the Spartans in supporting local families while cheering on Castleton hockey!
