KEENE, N.H. – The Vermont State University Castleton field hockey team saw its momentum halted at Keene State on Tuesday evening, falling 6-0 to the Owls.

How It Happened
In a contest that was all Keene State, it took eight minutes before the hosts were able to make the scoreboard. They added another 90 seconds later for a 2-0 advantage heading into the second stanza.
After four shots, two saved and two blocked, Keene State was able to add another tally to its scoring column for a 3-0 lead with eight minutes of the clock. KSC scored once more before the end of the half, while not allowing a single Spartan shot in the stanza, to lead 4-0 after 30 minutes.
It took only 30 seconds for the Owls to open the second half with a score, just 6 more minutes before they added their sixth and final of the day. Castleton was only able to register one shot on target in the fourth quarter, eventually falling 6-0.
By the Numbers
- Getting the start in the cage, Zoe Martin made seven saves in her 55 minutes played.
- With the first appearance of her collegiate career, rookie Jaedyn Roberson played for 4:26.
