PROVIDENCE, R.I. – The Vermont State University Castleton women's soccer team earned another Little East Conference win, taking down Rhode Island College 1-0 behind 
Becky Hannwacker's fourth goal of the season on Saturday.
The Basics:

How it Happened:
	- The first 14 minutes of play saw the Anchorwomen with three corner kick opportunities to the Spartans' one, with neither team converting until the 18th minute.
- Castleton earned their second corner kick of the game in the 18th minute, as Hannwacker took the corner, curving it to the far post as it bounced off and in for the lone goal of the game.
- Castleton's back line, along with Emma Ezzo, held the Anchorwomen to four shots as Ezzo finished the first half with two saves.
- Rhode Island put the pressure on Castleton's defense in the second half, firing off 14 shots with seven corner kicks, but the Spartans stood strong as Ezzo made four saves in the second half to secure the 1-0 victory.
By the Numbers:
	- Ezzo finished the day with 6 saves through 90 minutes, earning her fourth shut out of the season.
- Mallory McKenna led the team with two shots, while Maggie McKearin and Hannwacker had one each.
What's Next
The team will make the trip home for tomorrow's (October 26) non-conference match against UMaine-Farmington, with kick off set for 3 p.m. Tomorrow, the team will celebrate the six seniors who have invested their time and skills into the program over the years, prior to the match.
