KEENE, N.H. – The Vermont State University Castleton men's golf team took to the links at Keene Country Club on Wednesday, shooting a 117 as a team at the Keene State Fall Invitational.
Brady Hathorn led the Spartans to an eighth-place finish as a team with a score of 78, just missing out on the top-10 by one stroke.
Andrew Stefura shot 79 out of the No. 2 spot in the lineup followed by
Zach Trempner at 87 and
Dominic Rodrigue at 89 to round out the scoring.
Zach Papapetros posted a 90 as the Spartans' other competitor.
NEC grabbed the victory with a score of 76, with Norwich following at 91 and Gordon at 93 to place as the team's top three finishers. Norwich's Cooper Bertrand was the individual medalist after beating out NEC's Graham Hassan in a playoff hole.
VTSU Castleton returns to Keene Country Club next week for the Little East Conference Championship, beginning Wednesday, October 2 at 9 a.m.
