Men's Cross Country Place 24th at NCAA Regionals

NEW LONDON, Conn. – The Vermont State University Castleton men's cross country team placed 24th at the NCAA Mideast Championship, Saturday morning.
 
Castleton scored 751 points, with Wayne Alexander placing as the team's top finisher in 143rd with a time of 30:20. Jason Guerino trekked not far behind in 146th with a time of 30:29.
 
Ethan Woodbury placed 161st in 32:51. Nate Forgan took 163rd with a time of 34:04 and Jack Wanders rounded out the squad with a 172nd placement in 43:59.
 
Claiming the title was No. 7 Renesslaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) with 29 points, while No. 14 Williams was second (76 points), followed by No. 17 Middlebury (119) to round out the top three.
 
This concludes the 2024 season for the Spartans.
