SALEM, Mass. – The Vermont State University Castleton women's tennis team dropped its final road match of the season to Salem State Sunday afternoon.
Ginny Trevisan won 6-2, 6-1 at singles flight three and
Andrea Rodriguez won 7-6 (7-1), 6-1 at singles flight six to give the Spartans two points for the day.
Madelyn Nonni and Trevisan fell 8-3 in doubles flight one, as did
Stella Forte and
Olivia Rutkowski at flight two.
Sophia Hussak and Rodriguez dropped their doubles match 8-5 at flight three.
Forte fell 6-0, 6-4 in the first singles spot, and Nonni fell 6-0, 6-2 at the second singles spot. Hussak fell at the fourth singles spot 6-0, 6-0, and Rutkowski fell 6-0, 6-2 at the fifth singles spot.
The Spartans are back in action to close out the season on Saturday, October 12 against Bridgewater at 2 p.m.
