ELMIRA, N.Y. – Vermont State University Castleton women's hockey was defeated by No. 12 Elmira College, 3-0 Friday evening.

Kirsten DiCicco got the start in net for the Spartans, after a 44 save performance against the No. 3 Amherst on Tuesday. DiCicco had yet another outing in tonight's match. Setting the tone strong and trying to provide the boost the Spartans were looking for.
DiCicco would go on to provide another 44 save performance in tonight's contest, but it wouldn't be enough to keep the Soaring Eagles off the scoresheet. Elmira's Anna Lugge tallied two of the three goals scored for the Soaring Eagles, as Elmira would come away with this one 3-0.
