NASHUA, N.H. – The Castleton University women's volleyball team dropped a pair of matches on the road on Saturday, falling to Wellesley and River in Rivier's tri-match.
The Spartans dropped both matches 3-0, contesting Wellesley tightly with set scores of 25-15, 25-20 and 26-24. Castleton fell to Rivier 25-21, 25-11, 25-15. The Spartans hit .084 as a team on the day, while opponents swung at a .277 clip and had 83 kills to Castleton's 23. The Spartans had 19 aces as a team across the two matches.
Hailey Martinovich and
Jenna Schott tied with a team-high 11 kills on the day, while Schott led Castleton with five aces.
Mackenzie Wade had 21 digs over two matches, followed by
Caitlin Mahoney with 17.
The Spartans are back in action Thursday night at MCLA at 6 p.m.
