NEW LONDON, N.H. - The Castleton women's tennis team suffered its first loss of the season in non-conference action at Colby-Sawyer Friday afternoon, 9-0. 

The Chargers swept doubles action and followed suit in singles. Mia Manheimer and Matilda Gutke were able to win a pair of games on the third court, but ultimately fell 8-2. Regina Marchese and Megan Hunt competed at No. 1 doubles and fell 8-1. 

In singles, Matilda Gutke and Makayla Boisvert avoided shutouts by picking up a game apiece. 

The Spartans return to action Sunday afternoon at Russell Sage College. The match is set to begin at 1 p.m.
