PLATTSBURGH, N.Y. - The Castleton women's tennis team suffered a 9-0 defeat at Plattsburgh State Wednesday afternoon, moving to 3-4 on the season.
Regina Marchese and
Grace Sharkey came close to giving the Spartans a victory at No. 1 doubles, but dropped an 8-6 decision. Marchese would go on to rally and nearly force a third set at No. 1 singles.
Megan Hunt and
Makayla Boisvert picked up a pair of games in each of their sets.
Kayon Morgan made her singles debut in the sixth slot.
The Spartans return to Little East Conference play Saturday, September 25 when they host Rhode Island College. Start time at Castleton Tennis Courts is set for 1 p.m.
