CASTLETON, Vt. - The Castleton women's tennis team dropped it's third LEC contest to undefeated Rhode Island College Saturday afternoon at Castleton Tennis Courts.
Coming into the day, the Anchorwomen had won each match in 9-0 fashion. They'd continue that trend Saturday at Castleton.
Megan Brier and
Megan Hunt were able to pick up a pair of games at No. 3 doubles - the only Spartan duo to claim a game in doubles.
The Anchorwomen won each singles match in straight sets, three of which came via shutout.
Grace Sharkey put up a fight in the opening set at No. 3 singles, claiming two games and falling 6-2. Hunt and
Mia Manheimer were the other Spartans to pick up games despite losses.
Castleton women's tennis is set to travel to NVU-Johnson for non-conference action Tuesday, September 28.
