BRIDGEWATER, Mass. - The Castleton women's tennis team moved to 2-2 on the season after taking a 9-0 loss at Bridgewater State in the Little East Conference opener.

Megan Hunt competed at No. 1 doubles and picked up a pair of games, but the Bears (2-0) swept doubles action before following suit in singles.Â
Marchese fell at No. 1 singles while Hunt competed on the second court.
Makayla Boisvert nearly forced a third set against her Bridgewater State counterpart on the fifth court. The Bears claimed each singles match in straight sets.Â
The Spartans return to competition Wednesday, September 15 at Plattsburgh State.Â
