CASTLETON, Vt. -- The Castleton University women's tennis team concluded the 2020-21 season, dropping a 9-0 Little East Conference (LEC) decision to Plymouth State Saturday afternoon at the Castleton Tennis Courts.

The Spartans (1-6, 1-6 LEC) dropped all three doubles matches to begin the afternoon. The Panthers (6-2, 6-2 LEC) grabbed a 3-0 advantage as the Spartans were only able to win six games total.

As the Spartans headed into singles play,
Camille Jackson was the most successful as she took the first set before dropping the next two sets in a 1-6, 7-6 (7-4), 1-0 (10-6) loss to Alyssa Bettencourt at fifth singles.

Regina Marchese managed to win three games as she dropped a 6-1, 6-2 decision to Maggie McCarthy at first singles.
Aliza Bogner and
Grace Sharkey won four games total as Bogner suffered a 6-0, 6-1 loss at second singles, while Sharkey fell 6-3, 6-0 at third singles.

With the final match of the season in the books, the Spartans will graduate two seniors from this season's roster.
