PLYMOUTH, N.H. -- The Castleton University women's tennis team dropped a 5-0 decision to Plymouth State in the Little East Conference (LEC) semifinals Thursday afternoon at the Bank of New Hampshire Field House.

The Spartans, who were the third seed in the tournament, dropped all three matches during doubles play as the Panthers took an early lead. The first doubles team of Regina Marchese and Grace Sharkey fell 8-0 to Maggie McCarthy and Kira Winter, while Kaitlin Bardellini and Camille Jackson fell at second doubles.

Sandra Guyette and Karoline Rettenbacher earned one win at the third doubles flight as they dropped an 8-1 decision to Megan Marshall and Camilla Puzio.

Singles play began, and the Panthers swept through as only second and fourth singles counted towards the final score. Aliza Bogner, competing at second singles, earned two wins as she dropped a 6-1, 6-1 decision to Winter. Mia Manheimer fell 6-0, 6-0 to Kerstin Venincasa to solidify the win for the Panthers.
