Greenlese Highlights Castleton All-Conference Nods

Castleton, Vt. - Castleton's senior pitcher has become the epitome of reliability. Half-man, half-machine, Adam Greenlese has not lost a game on the mound in his past three seasons. His consistently stellar performances this season earned him a spot on the NAC All-Conference First Team. 

Greenlese went 4-0 on the year, including a pair of complete game wins over Lyndon St. and New England College. The southpaw hurled 39.1 innings on the year and carried a 2.97 ERA. He finished with 30 strikeouts and allowed just 19 walks. 

Receiving NAC Second Team honors were pitcher Samuel Spencer, outfielder Tyler Lord, and first baseman Joe Borowski. Spencer went 4-2 during the regular season for the Spartans, tossing 44.0 innings and registering 23 strikeouts. The sophomore tallied a 2.42 ERA and pitched a team-high four complete games.

Tyler Lord was a catalyst for the Spartan offense. The outfielder led the league in stolen bases swiping 28 bags in 31 attempts. The leadoff man batted .276 with seven doubles and 34 runs scored. 

Joe Borowski provided the power for the Spartans this season, belting 12 doubles, a triple, and three home runs on his way to a .337 batting average. The first baseman finished with a team-high 25 RBI, and led the entire conference in doubles, walks (24), on-base percentage (.496) and slugging percentage (.605). 

Greenlese and the rest of the Spartans will continue playing through the NAC Tournament in hopes of a conference crown with their next game being played on Saturday, May 3 at 12:00pm against Husson.
