GAME ONE: Castleton could not hang onto four different one-run leads as the Spartans fell 6-5 in 12 innings. Andrew Yonta answered with a two-run single in the bottom of the inning to grab the lead.
Lancelin singled and scored to tie the game in the top of the third, and Aaron Zrenda doubled home Borowski, who also doubled, in the bottom of the fifth to give Castleton its second lead of the game at 3-2. Once again the Builders answered as a Josh Tuck fielder's choice brought home Chris Scarola to tie the game at 3-3.
Lancelin led off the seventh, and came around to score to stake the Spartans to a 4-3 lead, and once again the Builders answered with a single run in the bottom of the frame.
Castleton broke through for a run in the 10th inning, as Zrenda doubled and scored, but an unearned run for Apprentice in the bottom of the 10th prolonged the game and the Builders were able to push a run across in the bottom of the 12th to earn the win.

The Spartans clawed back to within 6-5, but a seven-run sixth inning from the Builders thwarted any hopes of a Castleton win.
Matt Eisenhuth had an RBI-single and freshman Zak Mayo added a two-run single in the top of the fifth inning, to bring Castleton to within a run.
Shawn Kennedy also added an RBI-double, while Mayo reached base three times, going 2-for-2 with a walk.
