Castleton downs Thomas 22-11 in Phoenix

Phoenix, AZ-Freshman, Dan Conley continued to swing a hot bat as he collected four hits and drove in eight runs as Castleton defeated Thomas 22-11 in non-conference baseball action at the Phoenix Invitational.

Conley was just a double shy of hitting for the cycle, as he collected his first collegiate homerun, a triple and two singles while scoring three runs. Ted Mills had three hits, three RBI and three runs scored as Castleton had 19 hits and drove in 21 of the 22 runs.

The Spartans were much improved defensively, committing just one error over nine innings.

Mitch Thresher earned the win in relief, striking out five over five innings of work.
