Rutland, VT-The Castleton State College women's ice hockey team lost for the first time in three games, dropping a 2-1 overtime thriller to visiting SUNY-Oswego in non-conference action.
Oswego State's Jenna Kirkwood notched her fourth goal of the season 1:41 into the extra session to propel the Lakers to the win.
The Spartans jumped out early as freshman, Amy Costa scored her second collegiate goal just under six minutes into the game off a Kayla Twigge assist.
Castleton goalie, Vanessa Carter held the Lakers at bay until 3:50 into the second period when Erica Shapey beat her to even the score at 1-1.
