Carlsson Caps Career with LEC All-Conference Placement

PROVIDENCE, R.I. – Moa Carlsson of the Vermont State University Castleton women's ice hockey team capped off a stellar collegiate career with a Little East All-Conference Second Team selection.

Carlsson served as captain during her senior season, leading the team offensively with 24 points on 13 goals and 11 assists. She averaged nearly a point per game at 0.89.

Her goal total was good enough to tie for fourth in the conference.

The Stockholm, Sweden native was a special teams standout with four power-play goals and a career-high three short-handed goals.

With her name penned all over the program's record books, Carlsson graduates as the program's leader in short-handed goals with eight. She also ties for first in goals with 39. The forward ranks fourth in total points with 73 and seventh in assists with 34.

In the single-season record book, she is tied for ninth in points after posting 24 during the 2025-26 season. She also appears twice in the goals category, tied for seventh with matching totals of 13 goals in both the 2023-24 and 2025-26 seasons.

Further highlighting her special teams impact, she is tied for the single-season lead in short-handed goals with three, a mark she reached in both the 2023-24 and 2025-26 seasons. She is also tied for seventh in single-season power-play goals with four.

Carlsson closes her career as one of the most decorated offensive players in program history, leaving a lasting impact on the Castleton women's ice hockey program after also collecting All-NEHC honors in her sophomore and junior campaigns.
