Castleton falls to NAC undefeated, Lasell 83-76

Castleton, VT-The Castleton State College men's basketball lost for just the second time in their last seven games, falling to NAC foe, Lasell 83-76. Jaime Crawford scored a game-high 30 points and hauled in seven rebounds to pace the 11-6 (8-0 NAC) Lasers.

Jeremy Jorgensen turned in a solid effort for the Spartans with 22 points and 12 rebounds, and Castleton placed three other players in double-figures but received only seven points from their bench in the loss.

Jose Guitian also had a big game for the Lasers, scoring 25 points and grabbing 18 boards, while Brad Carvoulias chipped in with 16.

Joey Farley scored 18 points, 16 in the second half while Matt Tomaino chipped in 16. Rich Reilly scored 11 points and dished out six assists for the 8-9 (4-5 NAC) Spartans.

Castleton will return to the road on Friday when they play at conference foe, Elms College, tip-off 6:00 PM. Lasell will take on Elms on Tuesday at 8:00.
