How It Happened
In the opening minute, both teams traded possessions until Will Radcliff made a layup to start the scoring a minute into the game. Plymouth State answered with a three-pointer, but Ben Seiler responded immediately, draining a three of his own to keep the Spartans in front. Ethan Lussier added a fast-break layup as Castleton took a 7-5 edge early.

The first half remained a low-scoring affair, with the team exchanging baskets and defensive stops. Conner McKearin tied the game at 11 with two free throws just under the 10-minute mark before the Panthers used a 5-0 run to move ahead. Plymouth State carried a narrow 27-23 lead into halftime.

The Panthers opened the second half with a 10-run to create separation, but Jackson Doyle knocked down a three-pointer at the 14:41 mark to get the Spartans back on the board. Castleton continued to chip away, highlighted by a steal and layup from Joe Buxton that cut the deficit to 13. With five minutes remaining, Jake Oglesby hit a three-pointer and Seamus Demauro added a basket in the paint to trim the lead. Despite the late effort, Plymouth State held on for a 64-51 victory.
