Bynon came to Castleton in 2019 with a strong volleyball pedigree, working each of the last five years as the Co-Director and Coach of Spike Mountain Volleyball Camps hosted at Castleton. She has also held various positions coaching both boy's and girl's youth volleyball in New York, and oversees the social media outlets for the New York Volleyball Coaches Association.

In her first season at the helm, Castleton won seven games and earned academic recognition as the team landed four players on the LEC Academic All-Conference Team. 

As a player, Bynon won a pair of New York State Championships for Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake High School before playing collegiately at The College of Saint Rose and Nazareth College. At Nazareth, Bynon appeared in 65 matches over two years. She accumulated 269 digs and 31 service aces playing as a defensive specialist and libero.
