Kelson joined the Castleton women's tennis staff as the head coach prior to the start of the spring 2021 semester.
Kelson brings with him an extensive knowledge of the game through his playing career and his time as a physical education teacher at local schools. He was a four-year member of the men's tennis team at Johnson State College (now NVU-Johnson), playing at the No. 1 singles and doubles positions for the Badgers. He was the NAC Tournament champion at No. 1 singles and doubles in 2006, and earned NAC Tournament MVP honors the same year. Kelson was later inducted into the Johnson Athletics Hall of Fame in 2013.
