Marc Lambert

Marc Lambert is entering his ninth season as an assistant coach of Castleton’s softball team in 2023. In addition to recruiting, scouting, and in-game coaching, Lambert's responsibilities involve working with hitters and serving as the team's infield coach. The 2022 season saw several Spartan infielders garner postseason accolades.  Kate LaPan was named the program's first All-LEC First Team selection and also captured NFCA All-Region First team honors.  Allie Almond, Jamie Boyle, and Hannah Mosher were named to the All-LEC Second Team.

Prior to joining the Spartans' staff, Lambert spent the 2012 season as the head softball coach for Granville, leading the team to the WASAREN League Championship. In 2011, He was an assistant with Saratoga Central Catholic, helping them win the Western Athletic Conference, Section Two and Regional Championships en route to the New York State Final Four.

From 2000-10, Lambert was in charge of Granville’s baseball team, guiding the program to three WASAREN League Championships and two sectional runners-up finishes. He was named the 2008 Post-Star Coach of the Year after Granville won the WASAREN League Championship and posted a runner-up finish in the sectional.

In addition, Lambert has served as the head baseball coach at Enosburg Falls (1996-97) and Fair Haven (1999). During his one season as Fair Haven’s manager, Lambert was named the Marble Valley League Coach of the Year after his squad won the MVL Championship.
