Personal: Son of Roy and Barbara Gomes ... Has two siblings; Luke and Raychel ... Gomes joins VTSU- Castleton as a dedicated student-athlete with a proven track record of excellence in multiple sports. A four-year varsity letter winner in both soccer and basketball and a two-year track letter winner at Woburn Memorial High School, Gomes' athletic versatility has been a key factor in his success.In soccer, he was named First Team Middlesex League All-Star in 2022 and earned the Woburn Defensive Player of the Year award, showcasing his defensive prowess and leadership on the field. His competitive spirit extends beyond soccer, where he also excelled in basketball, earning recognition for his all-around contributions. Gomes' academic achievements are equally impressive. He is a member of the National Latin Honor Society (2023), demonstrating his commitment to academic excellence. Inspired by his favorite athletes, Cristiano Ronaldo and Sergio Ramos, as well as his love for Arsenal, he strives to bring leadership, discipline, and dedication to both his athletic and academic pursuits. Currently majoring in Business, Gomes is focused on building a strong foundation for his future career while continuing his athletic journey at VTSU- Castleton. He looks forward to making an impact both on the field and in the classroom, as he works toward achieving his goals.
