Personal: Son of Kiesha and Matthew Murphy ... Murphy joins VTSU- Castleton as a versatile and dedicated student-athlete, bringing a wealth of experience across multiple sports. A four-year varsity soccer player, three-year varsity basketball player, and two-year varsity track athlete at Saint Bernard High School, he demonstrated his athleticism and leadership in a variety of sports. In soccer, Murphy was a key player for his team and earned the 2023 Coaches Award for his dedication and commitment to the game. His athletic achievements in basketball and track further highlight his well-rounded skill set and competitive drive. Inspired by his favorite athletes, Anthony Edwards and Kobe Bryant, he brings a competitive spirit and relentless work ethic to everything he does. He is majoring in Physical Therapy, with aspirations to become a physical therapist specializing in sports, combining his love for athletics with his desire to help others. At VTSU- Castleton, he looks forward to continuing his athletic career while pursuing his academic goals and building a future in sports medicine.
