Kevin McCarthy ’18 enters his fourth season as a member of the VTSU Castleton men’s lacrosse coaching staff.
McCarthy transferred to Castleton after spending two seasons at Lyndon, where he earned 2016 All-NAC Second Team honors. As a Spartan, he was named to the 2018 All-NAC Second Team.
A Long Island native, McCarthy played attack throughout his collegiate career, amassing 133 points on 111 goals and 22 assists.
Lacrosse runs in the family—Kevin is one of three McCarthys to attend Castleton. His siblings, Andrew McCarthy ’22 and Kimberly McCarthy, also played for the Spartans.
McCarthy holds a bachelor’s degree in Geology and a master’s degree in Educational Research from VTSU Castleton. He is currently a science teacher at a local high school, where he founded a club lacrosse program.
