Wolf enters his third season as a volunteer kicking/punting coach at Castleton and is in his sixth with the football program overall.
In 2015, he helped Bobby Lineberger transform into one of the top punters and kickers in the conference, earning All-ECFC Honorable Mention honors at the conclusion of the season.
From 2009-2011 Wolf served as the Special Teams Coordinator at Castleton and had five special teams players earn ECFC All-Conference recognition in kicker Luis Robitaille (2009, 2010), punter James DeVoe (2009), kick returner Evan Cassidy (2009), punter Carl Ojala (2010) and punter Stew Quinn (2011).
Wolf is one of the top kicking/punting coaches in the country as well as founder and clinical director of Wolf Kicking. Over his past 16 years of coaching he has developed 13 college All-Americans kickers and punters, including Seattle Seahawks Super Bowl Champion kicker Steve Hauschka, N.Y. Jets punter Ryan Quigley and Montreal Alouettes kicker/punter Boris Bede.
Wolf redshirted as a freshman punter at Auburn in 1982 before going on to a record-setting career at Kentucky Wesleyan from 1983-87. Following graduation Wolf did sign an NFL contract with the Houston Oilers before being waived prior to the start of the season.
Wolf has been involved in coaching since the 1999 season, including a four-year stint from 1999-200 under Brian Grady at MSJ as special teams coordinator, wide receivers coach and JV defensive coordinator. While at MSJ, Wolf produced an all-state kicker or punter in each of his four seasons and had a 95 percent winning percentage as the JV defensive coordinator. Wolf spent five seasons as Special Teams Coordinator with Rutland High School and has consulted at many colleges.
Wolf is currently director of Castleton’s Spartan Arena and resides in Rutland with his wife Karen, daughters Erin and Allie, and their dog Belle.
