Devin Brakel enters her first season as Assistant Coach for the Castleton University field hockey program following a two-year stint as the Graduate Assistant Coach for the program. She brings great experience to the program as a graduate of division III field hockey powerhouse Ursinus College in 2015 with a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and a minor in coaching. 

During her time at Ursinus College, Brakel was a dual student-athlete in both field hockey and lacrosse. In field hockey, she led the conference in goals scored for three seasons and led her perennial top-25 nationally-ranked team to the final four during her senior year. As a three-year starter in lacrosse at Ursinus, Brakel totaled 83 points over her career and led the Bears in points scored her senior season. 

Brakel is from West Windsor, N.J. and earned her master's degree in Athletic Leadership from Castleton University in 2018.
