How It Happened
Plymouth State came out firing, putting up two quick scores. Castleton was able to slow things as Carter Frankenhoff shot through a crowded zone to make it 2-1 with 10 minutes remaining in the opening quarter.

The Panthers would answer with three more scores before Preston Kozlowski scored his goal at 2:20, bouncing off multiple defenders and beating the goalkeeper at the line to make it 5-2. Plymouth scored once more before time ran out on Q1 to lead 6-2.

Stanza two looked as if momentum would shift as Frankenhoff took just 40 seconds two record his second of the day, cutting the deficit to three, 6-3. PSU would answer with a seven-goal streak that would extend into the second half to lead 13-3.
It was Matt Gregoire on the man-up to get the Spartans back on the board, as he finished off a feed from Frankenhoff, 13-4.

The vistiors would add five more to their tally on the day, while Castleton had two more scores by Frankenhoff for a final score of 18-6, PSU.
