RUTLAND, Vt. – The Vermont State University Castleton men's tennis team was blanked 7-0 by the Terriers of Thomas College Sunday afternoon.
Thomas took all three doubles matches via 6-0 sweeps before taking all six singles matches. At the third singles spot,
Charles Watson fell 6-1 in the first set, before pushing the second to a 7-5 decision. At the top spot,
Tanner Ciufo was down 5-0 before retiring, while
Remy Maynard fell 6-1, 6-0 at the second spot.
Tyler Burke fell 6-2, 6-3 at the fourth spot, while both
Lukas Bukatovs and
Addy Boynton dropped the fifth and sixth spots 6-1. 6-0.
The Spartans head to VTSU Johnson on Wednesday, April 1. The match is scheduled to start at 3 p.m.
