PLYMOUTH, N.H. – The Vermont State University Castleton men's and women's indoor track & field teams competed against the best of the Little East Conference on Saturday at the conference's indoor championships.
The Basics
• Event: Little East Conference Indoor Track & Field Championships
• Location: Bank of New Hampshire Field House at ALLWell North – Plymouth, N.H.
• Women's Finish: 8th of 9 (19 points)
• Men's Finish: 8th of 9 (10 points)
Spartan Women
• The top finish for the Spartans came from
Kalynn Stevenson, who placed third in the shot put with a distance of 12.65m to earn six team points.
o Also contributing points were
Isabell Lanfear (12.46m) and
Sienna Newth (11.27m), who finished fifth and seventh, respectively.
o
Katelyn Yerdon placed 10th with a throw of 10.92m.
• Leading the squad in the weight throw was
Karli Martin, who finished just off the podium in fourth with a toss of 13.48m to earn five points for Castleton.
o Stevenson also scored in the event, placing seventh with a throw of 12.95m for two points.
o Newth rounded out the scoring finishes, placing ninth with a mark of 12.54m.

Bethany Davis was the lone track competitor on the women's side, finishing 12th in the 3000m with a time of 11:47.59.
Spartan Men
•
Britain Goodemote recorded the Spartans' top men's finish, placing second in the triple jump with a leap of 13.32m to earn eight team points.

Timothy Pratt narrowly missed scoring in the high jump, placing ninth with a height of 1.82m, just .01m out of a scoring position.
• Pratt also turned in a strong performance on the track, placing seventh in the 60m hurdles with a time of 8.95 to earn two points.
