GORHAM, Me. – The Vermont State University Castleton men's and women's indoor track & field teams competed at the USM Husky Invitational, hosted by Southern Maine on Saturday, highlighted by a program record in the women's weight throw.

Spartan Women
•
Kalynn Stevenson placed second in the weight throw while setting a new program record with a toss of 15.33 meters.
o She also finished on the podium in the shot put, placing third with a mark of 12.65 meters to earn six points.

Karli Martin (13.98m) and
Sienna Newth (13.00m) finished fifth and seventh, respectively, in the weight throw.
•
Isabell Lanfear finished one spot out of the top three in the shot put with a throw of 12.31 meters.
o Newth (10.92m) and Katleyn Yerdon (10.47m) rounded out the top 10 in the shot put, placing eighth and ninth, respectively.

Olivia Howard earned five points for the Spartans with a fourth-place finish in the 1000-meter run (4:03.38).

Bethany Davis also contributed five points with her fourth-place finish in the 3000-meter run (11:59.13).
Spartan Men
•
Rolguy Dimanche finished 10th in the shot put with a toss of 10.76 meters.
•
Sean Roth placed 11th out of 31 competitors in the 200-meter dash with a time of 24.34, shaving .24 seconds off his preliminary mark.

Brody Hopkins (20th, 25.04) and
Jay Carroll (25th, 26.88) also competed in the event.
