PLYMOUTH, N.H. – The Vermont State University Castleton men's and women's indoor track & field teams competed at the Panther Invitational, hosted by Plymouth State University, on Saturday.
The Basics

• Location: Bank of New Hampshire Field House at ALLWell North – Plymouth, N.H.
• Women's Finish: 5th of 10 (52 points)
• Men's Finish: 7th of 10 (10 points)
Spartan Women
• Castleton dominated the weight throw as
Kalynn Stevenson claimed first place with a throw of 14.08m to earn 10 points, while
Karli Martin added eight points with a second-place finish after posting a toss of 13.75m.

Sienna Newth placed seventh with a throw of 12.21m for two points, while
Isabell Lanfear added one point with a 12.14m toss in eighth place.
• Stevenson also took first place in the shot put with a throw of 12.33m for 10 points, followed by Lanfear in second with a mark of 12.10m for eight points.
o Newth placed fifth (10.58m),
Katelyn Yerdon finished sixth (10.47m), and Martin rounded out the top 10 with a throw of 9.90m.

Bethany Davis rounded out the podium in the 3,000-meter run, placing third with a time of 12:14.79 to earn six team points.
Spartan Men
•
Timothy Pratt placed sixth in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 9.15, earning three team points. Pratt also tied for fifth in the high jump, clearing 1.75m to add three more points.

Britain Goodemote contributed four team points with a fifth-place finish in the triple jump, recording a leap of 12.21m on his first attempt.

Sean Roth led the Spartans in the 200-meter dash, placing 18th out of 34 runners with a time of 24.63.

The Spartans will travel to Cambridge, Mass., to compete in the Gordon Kelly Invitational, hosted by MIT, next Saturday, January 24.
