How it Happened
The Beacons wasted no time setting the tone, scoring just over three minutes into the contest.

The second period saw more of the same, as the Beacons continued their offensive assault.
Braydon Goddard was able to find the back of the net for his first score of the night at 4:43, but UMB closed the half on a 3-0 run to enter the break ahead 10-2.
Goddard sparked some life early in the third with a finish set up by
Cam Frankenhoff, before tacking on another off a dish from
Hunter Sarro.
Liam Evarts added one late in the frame, again assisted by
Cam Frankenhoff, but the Beacons maintained their grip, leading 14-5 going into the final stanza.
Castleton opened the final quarter with another
Cam Frankenhoff goal, his second of the night, but UMB responded with a seven-goal burst to put the game out of reach. Goddard netted his fourth of the night with just over four minutes remaining off a highlight play from
Gabe Rubio who caused a turnover to initiate the fast break while tallying the assist.
Taysean Metz added a late goal, the first of his career, but it wasn't enough to overcome the high-powered Beacons' attack.
