How It Happened
After a scoreless first quarter, Nichols took control in the second, scoring five unanswered goals to take a commanding lead into halftime. The Bison continued their offensive push in the third, extending their advantage to 7-0 before
Cam Frankenhoff and
Liam Evarts got the Spartans on the board with goals late in the period.
Nichols sealed the game in the fourth quarter with six more goals, while
Matt Gregoire added a final tally for Castleton in the closing minutes.
What's Next
The Spartans will look to bounce back on Saturday, March 29, when they host Western Connecticut State in their first Little East Conference matchup of the season. Game time is set for 7 p.m.
