Despite the Spartans' strong effort, the Anchorwomen pulled away and won the set 25-12.
In the third set, Rhode Island came out strong again, scoring early points off Castleton mistakes and kills from multiple hitters. Kaitlyn Chapman recorded a kill to put the Spartans on the board, and Ray added key kills to keep them competitive.
