RUTLAND, Vt. – The Vermont State University Castleton men's ice hockey team came up short against Plymouth State University on Saturday afternoon, falling 4-2 in Little East Conference play.

How It Happened
Plymouth State opened the scoring midway through the first period before the Spartans answered at 16:55, when
Dylan Roebuck buried his first of the year off a feed from
Trevor Castino to tie it 1-1.
Castleton took the lead early in the second period on a power-play strike from
Logan Dapprich, assisted by
Jackson Edwards and
Jack Linton, making it 2-1. The Panthers responded just over ten minutes later to even the score at 2-2 heading into the final frame.
The game stayed tight until Plymouth regained the lead at 6:03 of the third, then sealed the deal with an empty-net goal at 18:48.

- First-year defender, Holdin Getzlaf continues to be outstanding at the blue line as he led the team with three blocked shots.
- Roebuck and Dapprich each scored their first goals of the season.
