NORTH DARTMOUTH, Mass. – The Vermont State University Castleton women's tennis team fell to UMass Dartmouth on Saturday afternoon, 7-2.

At the first doubles spot, Stella Forte and Ginny Trevisan fell 8-0, and Sophia Hussak and Olivia Rutkowski fell 8-4 at the second doubles spot. Rookies Alice Pomi and Andrea Rodriguez notched their first career doubles win, 8-5, and the first doubles win of the season for the Spartans.

Pearl Bellomo won the only singles match for the Spartans at the six spot 6-4, 6-3. Devon Kibbey, Rutkowski, Hussak, Trevisan, and Forte all dropped their singles matches.

The Spartans are back in action at Vermont State University Lyndon on Wednesday, September 11 at 4 p.m.
